Most everyone assumes because I have coulrophobia that I'm most terrified by Pennywise from Stephen King's IT. And I am. But that's not the book that scared me most. Nope. The scariest book I ever read is Stephen King's Gerald's Game. I think because I'm a woman and what the heroin suffers in that novel is a nightmare of events that felt all too plausible. I often re-read books, my favorites, depending upon my mood. This is the only one I've never had the nerve to re-read.
