A blizzard struck the northeast – hard - in the winter of 1996. I and one of my brothers took my 2-year-old daughter and the family dog (really my dad’s dog) into the backyard to play in the snow. The entire world was white and cold buried under three feet of fresh powder. With nothing in sight to lift his leg against - you guessed it - Champ peed on my leg.
