#ChristmasTreats Blog Hop

Giveaway has ended, BARBARA STOKER is our winner!
Happy Holidays

I did this same hop last year (Celebrate the Season) and my husband surprised me on Christmas morning with books from my hop wish list! Let’s keep our fingers crossed, eh?

My all-time favorite #ChristmasTreats - after books - is Chocolatey Stars. I don't know why they aren't sold all year. But they're not. And I don’t know if these are sold nationwide, or globally, or if they are a local treat. Also, I don't know why these shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with nonpareils makes me so happy but they do. They really, really do.

What I am sure of is my favorite holiday special is Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. It's a treat for my heart every season. I saw it the very first time when it first aired in 1978. It was my third Christmas. I was two; and I sobbed because Big Bird got lost. It is still, thirty-seven Christmas’s later, my favorite. I have it on VHS tape and on DVD. Then last year my mom gifted it to me in hardback.

My bookish, nerdy heart soared.

It’s not just the entire special, verbatim, with beautiful illustrations, but the sheet music for the original songs written by Carol Hall, Sam Pottle and David Axelrod are included in the back pages. Our Christmas tree is set up beside my desk and on my desk, next to my tree, on a wrought iron stand is that very special book.

That's what this season is about - sharing treats for the belly, the heart and the soul with our loved ones. If you think about it, that's the basis of every family’s favorite holiday traditions. And keeping in last year’s tradition – I’ve listed some of the books I’d like to read and I've left the last spot vacant.

Suggest a book for me in the comments below and a randomly chosen winner will get the following eBook of their choice:

Fated Souls; Fated Hearts (new since last year);
Goddess of the Hunt; or The Czech Deception (releases 12/28).

Don't forget to keep Christmas with you all through the year! - Becky

What are our favorite Christmas Treats? Books, of course! Stop by each blog for a chance to win fabulous books & gifties for the Holidays!

  6. Extreme Exposure, the first book in Pamela Clare's I-Team series. I read it late last year and marathoned the rest of the series soon after. Fantastic romantic suspense.

    For feel-good warm fuzzies, try Sustained by Emma Chase. It's pretty sweet, with the hero falling in love with the heroine's recently orphaned niblings as he falls for her.
