Christmas on the Cherry Farm

Image
☃️  “It looks like Christmas threw up in here.” Aidan chuckled into the back of Maggie’s neck. Maggie inhaled deeply and exhaled on a contented sigh. He was fresh from the shower and the scent of his soap and shampoo mingled with pine from the tree Aidan and Maggie had spent most of the prior evening decorating. She leaned into his embrace, enjoying the connection. “Is it too much?” She tried to look objectively at the room and scrunched her nose. The tree was the focal point, it stood nearly as tall and as wide as the windows it was centered in front of and glittered with tiny fairy lights. It was covered it in ornaments. A mix of old and new; ones Aidan had in storage and those Maggie had had shipped from Philadelphia, plus ones they had bought together on a recent shopping trip. She’d saved the angel for last; she wanted to put that on together, today. But she’d giggled when she’d hung the stockings on an actual fi...

Liar, Liar by Winter Austin

Image
If you follow my blog, you know there are a few authors whose books I always read and always review because I love them so much, i.e. Katie Kenyhercz, Nancy C. Winters, Nora Roberts, and on.  Which means you’ve already heard me gush about Winter  Austin and her books. Tough, you have to sit through another one. Winter loves suspense, horses and cowboys. Jeez, who wouldn’t right? And her upcoming release, Liar, Liar , is no exception. She saved the best for last in the final installment in the McIntire County series [can’t tell you how sad it makes me this is the final book ]. In brief, Shane, the sheriff who appears in each book of this series, at fifty years old gets his long overdue chance to be the hero in this book about finding love with the least likely of people amidst some seriously screwed up happenings. I mean this tiny town in Iowa has been riddled with horror for at least four years and hopefully they’ll have some peace now. Federal agent Liza Bartholomew, Boy...

FATED Books 1 & 2 Bundle Release

Image
Years ago, during the blizzard of 1996, my dad’s now deceased dog, who was smaller than the accumulated snow outside, confused about where he was to urinate amidst all that white, did his business against the only vertical structure he could find with ease… MY LEG. And so Fated Souls was born. It started as a short story about a werewolf peeing on his human mate’s leg in an attempt to mark her as his, inspired by that unfortunate business above, and grew into my first full length romantic novel. Which led to Fated Hearts , its not-quite-a-sequel counterpart. In Souls , the suspense is secondary to the paranormal romance. In Hearts , the opposite is true. Both books take place in my fictional Trappers’ Cove; and the couple from Book #1 play an important part in the plot of Book #2, but the books stand on their own as well as they compliment the other. And in this bundle offered by Crimson Romance [a Simon & Schuster imprint], for a limited time, you can get both for...

In the Writer's Den with NANCY WEEKS

Image
It’s been a while since I’ve had anyone in the Writer’s Den and can’t think of a better person to break the fast with than Nancy C. Weeks. If you remember, loyal readers, I’ve had the honor and privilege of reading and reviewing all of Nancy’s Shadow series in the past. And she’s here today to tell us a little bit about herself and some about the first in her new series, The Eyewitness . I’m going to boast a little and say I got an advanced preview of the first few chapters before the staff at Crimson Romance did which only served to whet my appetite for this book. And when I got the full review copy I did a naked happy dance. Only kidding. I wasn’t naked. But I did dance and then I inhaled the book in one sitting. There’s a lot of information in today’s post so I’m going to wait a week, maybe two, before posting my review. But in a nutshell ~ LOVED IT! And turning the spotlight on Nancy - what is your favorite word? Love! I write romance because I believe in ...
